“Your bloodlust controls you, sweetheart.” Klaus says sternly, circling her chair the way a predator likes to circle his prey. He stops to gaze at her beneath him, face dangerously serious. “I will fix you.” His words do not lack conviction and her body shivers at his terrifying promise. There’s a look of sadness that crosses Caroline’s face as he says this, and her voice squeaks out pathetically, “But I can’t be fixed.”
